Yes it is top it is THE SPARKS - HELLO YOUNG LOVERS

Supergroup SPARKS released a new album which is a masterpiece. Ron Mael, Russell Mael and others worked 18 months on it and they ironically put together ELECTRONIC POP, MUSICAL, MINIMAL MUSIC, ROCK [ROCK ROCK!] and some CLASSIC styles. Text somewhere between highclass easy and highclass deep. Wonderful.

10 points=maximum / 0 points=minimum

[1] DICK AROUND starts with an 80ies mainstream-standard (all i do now is dig around..)/ then classical minimal music turning into musical and something QUEEN did in the late 70ies/ then some Igor STRAWINSKY-beats/ Then the song starts again and after 3:30 we are in the late 80ies with really bad guitars/ 8 points
[2] PARFUME is the single/ The refrain is exciting (That´s why I want to spend my life with you...)/ and it´s easy with some YELLO in it. 7 points
[3] THE VERY NEXT FIGHT/ leading refrain again (it´s always the same) turning in something which could have something to do with John CALE 7 points
[4] (BABY, BABY) CAN I INVADE YOUR COUNTRY/ Baby let´s invade! Fab text! Think about VIOLET FEMMES!? 7,5 points
[5] ROCK, ROCK, ROCK/ one of the best popsongs ever/ says everything about SPARKS and the universe of POP/ A song perhaps PET SHOP BOYS try to do for more than 100 years (but they will never!)/ Think about John ADAMS. 10 points
[6] METAPHOR/ Wonderful 70ies song (not much more to say) 8 points
[7] WATERPROOF/ another 70ies-UK-song, MUSICAL-influenced and some interuptions. 7,5 points
[8] HERE KITTY/ ???? 5 points
[9] THERE`S NO SUCH THING AS ALIENS/ who still thinks that there are aliens after this song must be an idiot/ the best NO NO NO popsong ever 9,5 points
[10] AS I SIT TO PLAY THE ORGAN AT THE NOTRE DAME CATHEDRAL/ Two masterpieces in one: ByeByeBye My Baby now it´s time for me to go to work and then the notre dame organ (Did they recorded in Paris?) FAITH FAITH FAITH 9,5 points
